Moving personal belongings across Europe
Review your inventory, addresses, loading and dates. Coordinate transport with moving out and getting access to your new home.
Discuss my move
“Ten boxes and some furniture” is not enough for a quote. Dimensions, floors, lifts, parking and access times can change both the cost and the appropriate vehicle.
What we work through together
Inventory and volume
Start with boxes, suitcases and large items. Unusual dimensions, fragile belongings and furniture that cannot be dismantled need separate details.
Loading and unloading
Clarify vehicle access, floors, lifts and help at both addresses. Packing, furniture disassembly and carrying upstairs are agreed as separate parts of the order.
Timing the move
Match collection to moving out and delivery to receiving the keys. When the dates do not align, first establish whether storage is available and on what terms.
What to send first
A preliminary description is enough. Missing details can be clarified in the conversation.
Open preparation templates- Cities and preferred collection and delivery dates.
- Number of boxes and suitcases, approximate dimensions and weight.
- Furniture and appliance list, dimensions of large items and photographs.
- Floors, lifts and distance from parking to the entrance at both addresses.
- Whether packing, movers, furniture disassembly or storage is needed.
From the first message to an agreement
Prepare an inventory
Photographs and an approximate list are enough to start. Before a final estimate, clarify volume, access and special handling requirements.
Check the scope
Discuss transport, dates, handover points and additional work. Where a route crosses a customs border, check requirements for the contents and documentation separately.
Agree collection and delivery
Before handover, record the inventory, packaging, damage reporting procedure and liability terms. Confirm who will receive the delivery and how to communicate during a delay.
How we discuss cost
A price estimate needs at least a preliminary inventory. Beyond volume and distance, loading, floors, packing, waiting and storage affect the cost. Review liability and insurance terms, if insurance is offered, in the specific proposal.
Understand a moving estimateWhat needs separate confirmation
- Acceptance of specific belongings, vehicle availability and dates are confirmed after reviewing the request.
- Dangerous, prohibited, perishable or particularly valuable items may have separate restrictions. Identify them before an estimate is prepared.
- Customs charges, clearance and insurance cannot be assumed included without an explicit statement in the agreed proposal.
Before discussing the route
Compare offers with different scopes and account for expenses before and after transport.

Send the cities, dates and a preliminary inventory. Photographs help start the conversation; an exact address is not needed in the first message.
